There has to be an option for the petrol and diesel now. There should be more and more research on BioDiesel whic can be formed from the day today waste things , remaining food etc. Researchw will bring out the best option in front.

Also this will help the Vehicle manufacturer to manufacture the vehicles which will also support the biogas.

I think India is reach with the natural resources so why not to take advantage of this and come up with the best option for Petrol and diesel. In Dubai the petrol is Rs 2.3 per liter because they have that much Petrol in their country.

Now time has come to do something on this issue.

Thanks,

As petrol, diesel, gas prices increase, you can use vehicles only for important work. So that it will save your money. If only 2-3 persons of a family have to travel, they have to travel by buses instead of Cars. Timely Vehicle maintainance to get proper ave. is also necessary. You can use high average vehicles if possible. That will save money.

It was around the corner and wasn't high enough as expected. There has been a concept which no one has given a thought to. Most commuters going for the same destination, can use car or bike pooling everyday. You can alternate your car or bike with that of the other person you travel with. The automobile companies have to come up with diesel engines which could be used for autorickshaws. The Common Rail Diesel is the one I can think of. Reduce the engine size and work towards increasing the power output. Moreover, two wheeler commuters can think of switching to better and economical options of Electric bikes. TVS has gone a step forward with its environmental awareness and launched Electric Scooty. It costs 34000/- in pune and goes 50+ kms in one battery charge. This is a real good option to think over if you run out of breath on a cycle. Another option is traffic management which can't be done in Pune as people don't have any sense and they're up there with the worst in the world.

Bio-Diesel? Bio-Gas? BIG NO NO.
Unnatural things create unnatural diseases.

Natural Diseal, Petrol? Strict laws on moter manufacturers especially those using Diseal 6-8 seaters. Force Motors (former Bajaj) has done more damage to Pune Air than creating any good for public. Pune should ban all diseal vehicles in its 50 km radius.

Price Rise for Diseal, Petrol? GOOD sign to curb usage. Petrol and diseal should be Rs 100/- per liter instead of present Rs 50/-
Users will use calculated petrol, use less so less pollution, so saving natural resources, so less lung related diseases, clean air!

Defeat Congress, Save INDIA!

India does not have enough Crude of its own to meet its need of petrol/diesel/kerocene. With crude prices rising, product prices are bound to increase. Only natural resourse India has is Coal. We should use it to generate electric power or to make diesel/petrol from it. But nobody wants a power station using coal in his backyard! Coastal zone regulations for power-stations is a luxury we cant afford. The power stations need huge quantities of cooling water which only sea can provide as we cannot spare river water for that purpose. Huge power stations at Coal-mines is an alternative. If electric power is available in plenty then only electric vehicles can be used. Bio diesels will have its own limitations, quantitywise.

To: Phadnis,

Coal-power plants cannot use sea water. It has to be salt free and deminalarized before being used in boliers and cooling towers.

Coal found in India has more ash and silica in it. Found in Kutch Mines has sulfur content. This all when burnt gives rise to carbondioxide and carbonmonoxide, sulfur dioxide. To regulate these gases and fly ash (in microns in burnt fuel) need higher and higher chimeneys. Maintenance is a pain in the butt. Moreover, silica found in coal in INDIA makes it abrasive, leading a hell of a job for erosion of crushers, conveyors, etc. Moreover the output or efficiency burning them is less.

Chandrapur, Koradi which houses MSEB coal plants produce enough power. Dosposal of ash (in million tons) is a problem, and harzoudous to health. It cannot be used for anything! Only 10% is used for road making with 90% addition of adhesives in it like Taar! Not easy task!

My take is:

Our needs and luxaries have increased. These power plants were designed for basic housing and roads lighting. Today we have TV (up to 52inches), Fridge, Microwave, Lights, Heaters, Coolers, Vacuums, Pumps, etc.

Added to it is our population increase. Everyone wants to come to Maharashtra!. Failure of all congress governments in UP, WB, Punjab, North, Northeast, Kashmiris, etc, every one wants to come to Mumbai, Pune, Nasik.

There is more power stolen with illegal connections than leagal paid for.

Our cities has become 10 fold wide! 50 - 100 miles radius!

All this addes to power transmission costs, power per unit costs, etc......

SO:

Reduce your wants! Be simple, no luxaries! I follow this principle in USA! Y not in INDIA! As to every luxary there is attached a problem!

Increase of population, increase of power needs is something which is just there and cannot be wished away. To compare use of resourses in USA and India is a joke! Coal in India is bad is what we have been hearing for last 100 years but it is used in India and is being even exported. Power station technology has made huge strides. Washeries, fluid bed and what not permits use of even poor coal. In any case, research is the solution not complaints. Stolen power is a revenue loss. avoiding it will not SAVE power! It will increase income of the board. In WW 2, Germany converted its coal into diesel. We only talk! Saving power, simple living etc. is only wishful thinking, it wont happen.

INDIAN GOVERNMENT BUYS CRUDE OIL,AS ALSO PRIVATE SECTOR BUY FOR THEIR

IRREGULARITIES.THERE IS ENCOURAGEMENT
TO CONSUME MORE AND MORE.
AS WE HAVE ACHIEVED SUCCESS IN SOFTWARE EXPORT,WE CAN ALSO DEVISE
