Saurav era is now over. The way indian team is playing looks fantastic and the team is also performing very well under captainship of Rahul. So, Saurav your countdown starts now.

No. I strongly disagree with him. He still has lot of potential left within him. Just the black spot is his attitude. But he was n will always remain best player in Indian cricket. He should be included again in the team though not in near future, team will need him in future.

Well I am not completely agree with you all.Ganguly is still better than some peoples like mohammad kaif in indian team
(kaif scored 11 runs in 5 matches)
Why cant we give him a one more chance to prove himself.
We cant forget netwest final on lords. Thats the aggression .. I like it.
Some peoples like Laxman survive on chance through out the career.
It will be unfair with ganguly if he doesnt get a chance.

I feel we should go ne breed of team its time for Ganguly, Laxman to retire "IZZAT SE".

for the new youth entries someone should move out. (This is the fact that everyone should agree) And Saurav is the one who can stay out of team with no difference on performance of team india. Also his performance is pretty low. So better he should take rest and for some important matches like ind vs Pak should come in again to avoid new exp with pak team. No harms intended.

India should have policy of giving an youngster 15-18 yr old in every test cricket. Anyway the so-called mature folks don't have stamina or desire to stay on field for five days. All seniors should be rotated to sit out. This way they know their place as well...

no.. he still has a lot within him.. he must b given a chance..

yes. He was in team just because he was capton. We will win matches without him.

Anonymous said...

We don't need him. He was in team coz he was capton. We need good players with attitude.

Yeah, that's the pity of Indian cricket, people who don't even deserve to be in the Indian team end up being captain and then they don't want to quit. Mind you, he had some good qualities but you also need to perform...

hi all,
i agree with megha..
this has been a very sad incident in the indian cricket. Ganguly although in his bad patch still can show his mettle and has a lot more cricket within. friends, how can we forget that its Ganguly who brought up Kaif/Irfan and Yuvraj..!
And what about Tendulkar...he aslo had preety poor performance when he was a captain. But did we kick him out? No...!!...why is this different treatment being given? And moreover Ganguly is the second best successful captain after Azhar.
I hope the selecters think logically and give a chance to Ganguly. Also hope Ganguly performs well in country cricket and proves that he still deserves in the indian team..

It's difficult to agree with you Ganesh. First of all, you need to think rationally before making any comments. It's a mistake even to compare Sachin and Ganguly. Ganguly stayed in the team not because he was a great player, but because he was a better captain, but then being a captain does not mean that performing is optional. On the other hand Sachin is one of the greatest players the game has ever seen. And most importantly he's still performing. The days of Ganguly are definitely over. If he really has any cricket left, then he should prove at domestic level first, before claiming any position in the Indian team.

Even when Sachin was captain, his performance was not of that great level about which u are talking. Just coz he has started in a very young age, he gets soft corner of ppl supporting him. Ganguly is as gr8 as Sachin. Making Ganguly a captain was the best decision as far as team is concerned but for himself this was not good as that deteriorated his own performance & it happened with Sachin also. The biggest difference is Sachin has not proven himself as a successfull captain, unlike Ganguly though after making them captains, performance of both of them was getting bad. This is only to talk about issue raised by Ganesh but I dont think Ganguly's addition in team in any way relates to Sachin and comparing them as such. Ganguly must b given a chance, & I am sure he will bounce back.
