I am from Pune but for the past 4 years I have been living in the US. My son is in 3rd grade. There are so many projects school undertaks for encouraging kids to read. It's amazing. I feel that in India schools' and parent's focus is more on "Pathantar" ani "Pariksha". Its really something that parents and schools in India should think about it.

After 6 years stay in London and working for UK Government, I personally think that the education in India is far greater than western countries. May be we fewer resources but we have determination to win. In London you get every thing Free from Travel card to education and Council House to All state Benefits.

Kids don’t have hunger for any thing, what they have is music, and games all day. Anti Social Behaviour is the main Area where UK Government is very concern because it is daily practice in school and street such as drugs and gun crime. To be honest I feel is today’s United Kingdom is because of there grand parents who worked hard and now the young generation is not understanding the meaning of "Working Hard"

What UK Government is doing is just encouraging them to get education because they have lots of facility available. Going to study in Cambridge and Oxford is not big thing as long as you can score well in GCSC and having British Passport. In addition to this government will give you education loan and that amount is £16,000.00. What this student doesn’t have is willpower to achieve something by using there own talent. Our India students are very kin of making money and working hard at educational level. They understand the meaning od education and where it will take them. Some of the university you will find only India, Pakistani and Chinese Student. If Indian gets the same facility in India we will be world champions.

Giving too much is not good!!

But NRI are doing very well because they have bought there children with the Asian Style of education.
