सांगा, हे पुतळे कोणी सांभाळायचे ?
एकाच व्यक्तिचे एका शहरात अनेक पुतळे उभारण्यामागे राजकारण असण्याची शक्यता दाट असते.म्हणजे पुतळे उभारण्यामागे आणि पुतळ्यांची विटंबना करण्यामागेही राजकारणच असते.याचा अर्थ सर्वसामान्य जनतेला त्याव्यक्तिबद्दल असलेल्या श्रध्देचा,आदरभावाचा वापर काही स्वार्थी राजकीय नेते करतात.आपल्या बाजुने दोष असा की, आपण तो करु देतो. प्रश्न असा आहे की हे सगळे थांबेल कसे ?
मला असे वाटते की,`एक शहर एक पुतळा` हे धोरण कटाक्षाने राबवावे.तरीही एखाद्या पक्षाची ,संस्थेची इछ्चा असल्यास त्यांना त्यांच्या जोखमीवर पुतळा उभारु द्यावा.पुतळ्याचा आदर- सन्मान स्वछता आणि पावित्र्य जपण्याची जबाबदारी त्या संस्थेवर सोपवावी.त्यांच्याकडून निष्काळजीपणा वा दुर्लक्ष झाल्यास कारवाईची कायद्यात तरतुद करावी .

Vibhutipuja is a major drawback of Indian society. It also shows how a good thing in moderation can be a problem in excess.
The first question here is what purpose we want to serve by installing statues? Who should be allowed to install them? Anybody can't just come and put a statue at any public place, just because we have a democracy.
My strong opinion is that only the persons who were instrumental in making of a city should be allowed to have this honour. Because memories such persons belong to the whole city. If a petty leaders(corporators or gully leaders) wants to put statues of their kith and kin, then they must do it in their homes; Not in square and streets.
Also, how about giving names of flowers and trees to streets etc. instead of naming them after any somya-gomya?
Govt must recover the losses from the party / persons responsible for riots
I think there should not be any statue in any city. But as being Democracy it does not seem to be possible. So Govt. should grant some open plot far away from the city for keeping the statues. It should be named as "Statue Park". There should be some arrangements for safety and maintenance of the same and the costs for the same should be reovered from the party who has put the statue in that "Statue Park".

The building of statutes in the city is a stupid idea, there is no politicians in today's age whose statute should be erected in the city no politicians r worth the effort
there shouldn't be statues anywhere...
This is waste of resources and money.
